Owner // Hairstylist // Photographer

I founded Bodh in January 2011, and have over 16 years in the hair industry. I did my early training and apprenticeship in Kitchener-Waterloo and was able to mentor with master stylists who educated for different companies. I was able to diversify my skills by learning many different cutting and colouring techniques. As a result throughout my career I have trained in Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, Goldwell, Aveda, MOP, Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal and Bumble & Bumble.

After many courses with L’Oreal, I was offered the opportunity to do styling for Toronto Fashion Week in 2001. The next year in 2002, I traveled to New York City to master razor cutting and product knowledge at the Bumble & Bumble Academy.

At different points in my career, I’ve been an apprentice, worked my way up to master stylist, was promoted to manager in larger salons and finally freelanced in Guelph before opening Bodh. Drawing from these past experiences, I wanted my own salon to combine the very best qualities of the industry while still allowing me to maintain my core values and business ethics. I love what I do, and I’m so thankful to have such amazing clients.

I live in Guelph with my wife Michelle, who co-owns Bodh with me, and our two children.

I could eat Pizza every single day.

I crank Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers in my car.

My wife makes me laugh hysterically.

I am happiest when I am with my family.

If I wasn’t a hairstylist I’d be a contractor.

If I won an all-expenses paid trip, you’d find me in Sweden.

Don’t let my big beard fool you, I’m a big softie.

What I love most about my job is seeing my clients’ reaction to seeing their hair for the first time. I love seeing their faces light up with happiness.
